A Rainy Microwedding in Waitsfield, Vermont
Many couples' worst nightmare, made the dreamiest, coziest wedding day for Zach and Shirley in mid-July. Rain. It was undeniably rainy all day long. Upon my arrival, I found Shirley to be one of the calmest, and happiest brides I've seen on their wedding morning. Both Shirley and Zach were filled with so much happiness to just be marrying each other, that the weather made no difference to them. As a photographer though, it surely affects how I do my job that day! At a venue I've shot at countless times, I found myself pivoting and getting creative for photos on this rainy day. But, with the rain comes pure beauty. Bright, vibrant greens, and soft, diffused light, both perfect for taking portraits in. It was so clear how much joy everyone had in just being present, that it made my job of photographing them so easy! There was a lightness in the air that purely came from the happiness for Shirley and Zach. From their sprinkle theme, to their special dances, and everything in between, it was truly a wedding for the books!
