An English Garden Wedding in the Green Mountains
Where to begin other than the fact it was an absolute honor to capture Emma and Sam's wedding day. Emma is the manager of Sleepy Hollow Inn, and when she reached out to have me shoot their engagement and wedding I was shocked. Of all the weddings and vendors she sees, she chose me. I was so excited. I had been to Sleepy Hollow before, but to see it through the eyes of someone who puts so much work into making it a great venue, it was incredible. I first met Emma and Sam at their engagement session, which happens to be one of my favorite shoots I've had to date. From that evening, I knew we would work great together. They are laid back yet detail oriented, love to have fun and celebrate, and were so comfortable in front of the camera.
When I heard their wedding theme was English Garden Party, I was so excited to see how Emma was going to bring that to life. Everything came together so beautifully. From the whimsical decor, personal touches, and unique trinkets, it completely portrayed their personalities. Not to mention the hands of friends and family who were there helping to set up, but more importantly, Emma's beautiful dress that she handmade herself. HERSELF! From getting into her handmade dress, to seeing Sam for the first time, and celebrating together with their friends and family it could not have been more perfect. To be married at a cozy inn, in. a small Vermont town is such a special way to start your marriage.
Some of my favorite images from the day were their custom details, Emma's dress and their portraits. With the wooded landscape of Sleepy Hollow, to the historical feel or the Round Barn where the ceremony was held, there was so much charm innately present throughout the day. The joy of Emma and Sam's friends and family sine through the images, really showcasing how surrounded by love these two are. This was a magical wedding day that I know I will remember for a long time.
