Where do I begin with Kate and Ray's wedding day? It was simple, elegant, and dreamy all wrapped up into one. On one of the hottest days of the summer, Kate and Ray's dream wedding came to life through their details surrounded by family and friends who were so excited to celebrate their love story. Each twist and turn of the day turned into something even more beautiful and getting to capture it all was oh so special.

The morning seemed to fly by with the girls getting ready and Kate anxious to see Ray for their first look. We coordinated to meet Ray and my second shooter, Sydney, at a specific hole on the golf course for a secluded first look. Because people were still playing, we ended up running into them on our golf carts! Ray tried to look away but couldn't help but greet his beautiful bride. After a tee-off, we made it to the hole and officially did their complete first look. It was so sweet and the relief on their faces was the feeling of being home. Kate and Ray privately read their vows to each other under a gorgeous tree off the golf course. This had to have been one of my favorite parts of the day! It was so sweet to see the emotion and exchange between them.

We got right into portraits after they exchanged their vows and it was just so lovely on The View on Morgan Hill's property! Once we wrapped up the portraits we got straight into the wedding party formals which was so much fun! The colors of the dresses and the florals were just to die for. At that point, it was ceremony time where everyone gathered with an incredible view of the mountains behind the ceremony arch.

From then on it was party time! Kate and Ray's details were simple yet so perfect. From their hiking-inspired cake topper to their custom drink stirrers - they reflected their personalities perfectly. After the first dances and a toast, we snuck away to do some sunset portraits. This had to be the dreamiest part of the day. By this point, Kate and Ray were giggly and having the time of their life and I absolutely love how much that shows in these portraits. Right as we finished, Kate shared the story of the day she fell in love with Ray - the night they went just as friends to their high school reunion. The way she spoke about their story was so sweet and I feel so lucky to have been included in just one chapter of this story and hope they cherish this day for years to come!
