You guys better get ready for a long post because I cannot get over the perfection of this wedding day!! Marissa and Michael curated the most gorgeous fall wedding that included elegant details and spooky touches at their historic venue. It all came together so naturally from the golden, crisp weather to simple decor - they couldn't have asked for a better autumn wedding. They celebrated at Waterloo Village under a full moon exactly a year after we did their engagement session which I absolutely loved!

While my second shooter, Sydney, and I spent the morning capturing their details and fun getting ready moments Marissa and Michael relaxed with their respective wedding parties - eager to start the day! They were both so calm, yet excited, but as soon as we started to get ready for the first looks is when it really clicked for them. We started with the first look between Marissa and her dad which was so sweet! You could tell how proud and happy he was for her. After all those emotions and talking with Michael while getting him ready for his first look, I knew it was going to be an emotional day.

In front of one of the historic buildings, Marissa and Michael did their first look, and he was just filled with joy when he saw her. He couldn't hold back the tears as he took it all in. Right after, Marissa and Michael exchanged their vows privately. They laughed, wiped each other tears away, and maybe shared a used tissue or two while they vowed their love for each other. Immediately after we got into their portraits and they truly made my job so easy! Marissa and Michael are so stunning and just naturals in front of the camera! Next, we brought in their wedding party for some fun group photos including a remake of a scene from Rocky Horror Picture Show!

As the guests mingled and hung out with the alpacas, we captured the stunning details and property at Waterloo Village. As the sun went down, I knew it was important for Marissa and Michael to get some portraits done in the village cemetery. If you know these two, you know scouting cemeteries is one of their favorite fall pastimes! These are probably my favorite images from the entire day! After that, they partied on with their families. I couldn't hold back the tears as they did their dances and speeches, and also couldn't help dancing a little bit thanks to their DJ!

This day couldn't have represented Marissa and Michael's relationship better. Every detail, kind family member, and even the full moon made the day so special for these two. I cannot wait to see where their journey takes them and hope it is filled with as much laughter, love, and maybe just a few less tears than their wedding day was!
