I had been looking forward to Elise and George's engagement session for months. I don't get to do many winter sessions so I was so excited! It was equal parts fun, magical, and oh so dreamy. It had been a light season of snow thus far, but a storm was due just before Elise and George's session.

We ended up getting a little more than we bargained for, but it ended up perfectly! That morning we kept an eye on the weather (and the roads) and decided to just go for it - hoping it wouldn't end up being too snowy. I am so glad we stuck it out because it turned out so lovely! The snowfall added a bit of Hallmark movie romance to their images, which I'm kind of obsessed with.

Elise and George's love story of course includes snowboarding in their home of Vermont, but it began during their senior year of college. They had met in Burlington and on one of their first nights spent together, ended with dancing and skinny dipping! You can't deny that a spark was already there.

Together, they love to have activity-filled days! It would start with an outdoor adventure alongside their pup, Valley, followed by après with good food and drinks, and in bed early to have a late night snack. And it was that exact kind of day when George proposed to Elise. They were exploring some backcountry with Valley, skinning up and getting ready to snowboard down. Just before they strapped in, George got down on one knee and popped the question! It was a day of terrible snowboarding, but Elise only remembers how amazing it felt.

As a couple, they are adventurous and fun-loving, and cannot wait to spend their lives together. They are most looking forward to seeing each other all decked out on their wedding day! Celebrating with family and friends will be unforgettable, and being able to call each other hubby and wife will just be the cherry on top.
