If you love fall then you are going to LOVE this session. From the mild weather, vibrant leaves and golden sun, it was absolute perfection! Waterloo Village was the perfect backdrop to Tami and Matt’s engagement session, not only because it is STUNNING in fall, but it’s also their wedding venue! It was amazing hanging out with these two and getting a peak at their venue before their big day.
Tami and Matt are so sweet and down to earth. We had such a chill evening, enjoying the foliage and taking some seriously cute pictures. Their perfect date night includes sitting around a fire, music playing, sounds of the river … aka a really good campsite! They love the outdoors, (my kinda people :)) from kayaking to camping and hiking, they love getting outside. Tami and Matt are super laid back, they just love to have a good time with good people, of course including their four daughters!
They met online, and the sparks just flew! When it came time for the proposal, Matt had everything planned out. It was Thanksgiving and Tami and Matt were waiting for dinner to be served at Matt’s parents house. As they were enjoying the holiday, their four daughters walked into the room each holding chalkboard signs which read, “Daddy Marry You Will”. (I couldn’t help but laugh when I heard that part!) As Tami noticed what was happening, Matt was already getting down on one knee and she responded with a resounding yes! For Tami, it couldn’t have been more perfect to be surrounded by family and including their daughters in the proposal.
Working with Tami and Matt was a breeeeze, they were amazing in front of the camera - even with all the silly things I asked them to do! Their love is reserved but oh so sweet, they truly bring out the best in each other.
