I was SO excited when Kira reached out to me about doing her senior session this fall. All I thought was FINALLY! Another fall lover, and let me tell you, it was o great. Kira will be graduating from William Paterson University this winter, so it only made sense to do her session in the fall rather than the spring. And can I just say, MORE FALL SENIOR SESSIONS PLEASE. From the cooler weather to the foliage, it was absolutely perfect.
This winter, Kira will be graduating with a BSN, in hopes of pursuing her nursing career! She works at the hospital and in her free time volunteers for the local EMS. But when she's not volunteering and helping others, she wants nothing more but to enjoy relaxing weekends outside after being cooped up all week! Kira's journey to becoming a nurse is really a special one due to a personal experience years ago.
When she was just 10 she had to undergo lung surgery. During that time, as a child, she was scared of what could happen but the nurses who worked with her made her feel so incredibly safe. Kira saw compassion, dedication, and intelligence in the nurses who stood by her side and knew at that moment she wanted to do the same when she grew up. Now, 13 years later she is going to be able to do just that!
Hearing Kira's story was so touching and the way she followed her dreams since being 10 years old is inspiring. She has worked so hard to get to this point and I cannot wait to see what she does to continuously help others on her journey!
