Marissa and Michael’s engagement session was such a special evening. Everything you could ever want in a fall engagement session was what Marissa and Michael had, from the changing leaves to golden reflections on the lake that balanced perfectly with their outfits - I am OBSESSED. Not to mention as soon as I arrived they told me it was exactly one year until their wedding, which I loved!! Their “pre-anniversary” as they called it!
Marissa and Michael met back in college at TCNJ through mutual friends. They would walk around late at night on campus, explore haunted buildings and sit on rooftops late at night. Marissa and Michael’s love for spooky autumn nights has only grown, and I loved how their engagement session reflected that. Now, they love to visit breweries, be outside and celebrate all things spooky throughout the fall season!
Michael’s plans to propose had to change a few times during 2020 because well, 2020. But it ended up being absolutely perfect for them! On one of their favorite trails one day, just the two of them Michael popped the question. It was quiet, surrounded by nothing but nature creating a perfect moment just for them.
Spending the evening with Marissa and Michael was so much fun. I was so excited to get to know them but did not expect to be laughing and telling stories as much as we did that night. Michael’s calm persona compliments Marissa’s high energy perfectly and seeing them interact you can truly see that they are best friends. They cannot wait for their wedding next fall crushing brews with their family and friends (sorry Michael, I had to include it!!), and to finally be married, after 8 years of dating, at Waterloo Village.
