Heather and Joey's wedding day was something out of an autumnal dream. Every detail blended together seamlessly. The venues, florals, and color scheme, all made the dau stunning. But the absolute joy Heather and Joey's friends and family had for them, truly made the day special. Heather and Joey paid no mind to the threat of rain throughout the day, and we basically made it unscathed! I honestly could stare at these images for hours.

I started the day with Heather and the girls getting ready. Her details were clearly well thought through and set the entire vibe of the wedding day. Not to mention shooting on a black backdrop was new for me and I am obsessed! So moody and fun. While at the hotel, we did a first look between Heather and her Dad. Before seeing her he was calm, yet excited. He only cared that Heather was happy and having the best day ever. Once he saw her he welled up with tears. They shared such a sweet moment and Heather gifted him his tie to wear, which had a photo of them from when Heather was a little girl printed onto the back.

From there, it was time for the ceremony! Heather and Joey opted for tradition and met eyes across the aisle. It was such a beautiful moment. Any nerves Joey felt earlier in the day washed away the moment he laid eyes on Heather. One of my favorite parts of ceremonies is the exchanging of personal vows. Heather and Joey's brought me to tears. Not to mention the fact that they were almost identical, even though they were written separately! Once officially married, we went right into family portraits and wedding party pictures. They were such a fun group to work with, and the combination of dress and suit colors has to be one of my favorites!

We snuck in bride and groom portraits just before the rain came. The Hunterdon County Arboretum was the perfect backdrop. Surrounded by greenery with hints of fall colors, it was stunning. Heather and Joey are naturals in front of the camera and you could just feel the joy radiating from them after the ceremony. Joey's green suit matched the vibe of their day perfectly, and Heather's cathedral veil was adorned with pearls which was so unique!

After we wrapped up portraits, it was time to party! The room was filled with happiness as everyone celebrated Heather and Joey. Their first dance, and parent dances were touching. And not to mention they had some pretty good speeches (with great stories) too! They spent the night dancing away. From start to finish Heather and Joey's wedding was gorgeous. Their love story, the dance moves, the ambiance and the joy, all made it so special to them. I cannot wait to see where this new journey takes them!
