Intimate summer Wedding | New Jersey - Corinne Ryan Photography

Weddings aren’t about how big your venue is, how many guests come, how beautiful your decor is, or any of those aspects that so many work so hard to perfect. Weddings are about love, celebration and being in the moment with those you love. That’s exactly what Tami and Matt got at their wedding. After downsizing to an intimate backyard wedding in rural New Jersey, they created a perfect wedding day just for the two of them.

That morning I arrived at the venue, which was a relative of Tami and Matt’s beautiful home in Oxford. All the girls were getting hair and makeup done while I shot Tami’s details which I am SO obsessed with! While we were there, my second shooter Sydney was with Matt and the groomsmen while they got ready at Matt’s parents’ house. The morning was filled with anticipation for the day.

Once everyone was ready it was time for Tami and Matt’s first look. We headed to a gorgeous open field where Matt eagerly awaited his future wife. Because Tami and Matt’s relationship has already grown for years with their daughters, there was a calm excitement amongst them just wanting to make their marriage official. When Matt saw Tami he was ecstatic! After she gave him a gift we spent some time with just the two of them taking in the magic of the day. The entire wedding party then showed up for formals and they were full of energy and happiness for Tami and Matt.

Once we finished pre-ceremony photos it was time to get the show on the road. During the ceremony, Tami’s daughter Skyler spoke that phrase above which brought all the guests, including me, to tears. She and their officiant spoke beautifully of the family Tami and Matt have created and the happiness that comes from it. Once the ceremony was over, everyone was ready to celebrate! Their reception was filled with handmade and personalized decorations which showcased their personalities perfectly.

The party went on while their guests danced, took pictures in the photo booth, ate, and enjoyed each other’s company all while celebrating Tami and Matt. The day couldn’t have gone more perfectly for the two of them! And their family as a whole, are ready to step into this new chapter together.
