Rachel and Gus could not have dreamed up a more perfect wedding. The late spring weather was vibrant along with the excitement for Rachel and Gus to tie the knot. From their elegant and simple details to their family and friends, and the incredible backdrop that is Mountain Top Inn, it was an incredible spring wedding in Vermont.

I met up with the girls in the morning down the road from the Inn at a beautiful house on the property. As they had their finishing touches on hair and makeup, I photographed Rachel's details which I loved. The fern accents and neutral and gold tones were stunning! Once they were ready we went outside for a few pictures in their matching robes and of course, popped some champagne. Rachel may have actually made it rain champagne...but it was the best pop I've ever seen! Afterward, her mom and sister helped Rachel into her dress and she then finished with some simple jewelry and some amazing heels.

Once we were ready, it was time to meet Gus for the first look! He was calm yet excited, just ready to see Rachel. His reaction to her was pure joy. They shared a quiet few moments taking in each other with the mountainscape behind them. We then took some portraits as horses grazed in the field behind them. Soon enough, the entire wedding party showed up and that's when the excitement really began! We took some group pictures before parting ways for the ceremony.

Mountain Top Inn's ceremony site is breathtaking. You don't need much but the mountains to make it feel grand! When it was time, Gus's sister walked him down the aisle to await Rachel. Her brother-in-law played the violin as her father walked her down the aisle. There were smiles all across the congregation. Rachel and Gus's vows were so sweet. I will never forget how although written separately, they were almost identical. They began their vows with the same story and shared the same memories, which shows these two are truly meant to be.

After the ceremony, we used the space to take family formals and the rest of their wedding party portraits. The lighting was absolutely dreamy. We didn't take long though because everyone was ready to go celebrate the newlyweds. I made my way into the reception space and I was just in awe. The twinkle lights lit up the entire room showcasing their soft, romantic details. Once the reception kicked off, Rachel and Gus shared the sweetest first dance. They truly seemed like they were on cloud nine.

From then on out it was a celebration! Speeches that told stories of their past, dancing with absolutely everyone, and enjoying the great company. We finished the night with some blue hour portraits behind the main lodge with yet another incredible view. It was clear how happy Rachel and Gus were to finally be married, and these portraits show it off perfectly. I am so honored to have been a part of their day, capturing the next chapter in their story. It was a wedding that I'll never forget!
