The morning I spent with Kendahl and Mike in Wawayanda was probably one of the best mornings I’ve had in awhile! I cannot say enough about how kind, friendly, and welcoming these two are. We had a perfect cloudy morning for their engagement session in Wawayanda State Park, and it couldn’t have gone any better!
Kendahl and Mike were naturals in front of the camera. They were full of laughter and love the entire time! Their dog Lizzy was also a pro model too, if I do say so myself. The three of them gave off so much good energy, it was impossible to not have the best time with them!
They met by matching on OkCupid and after their first date they had 2 more...that week! Sundays became their date day, and they spent every Sunday, but one, together from December through April. Kendahl and Mike had an immediate connection that kept them coming back for more.
Fast forward and Mike totally surprised Kendahl with the proposal! They had been house hunting and decided to grab a drink at the awesome, Orange County Distillery. When they arrived, both of their parents were there, and Lizzy too! Mike got down on his knee and proposed. There was so much love there that day, and they are so grateful they got to celebrate with their families.
Being around Kendahl and Mike you can just feel how strong their connection is. Kendahl loves how Mike is caring to his core. He always is able to put Kendahl’s needs before his without compromising his own. Mike admires how Kendahl is one of the strongest people he has ever met, and is able to see the brightest aspects of the world in dark times. They strive to fill their time with friends and family, outdoor activities and things that lead to self-growth.
By the end of Kendahl and Mike’s session, I felt like I gained two new friends. They were an absolute joy to be around. It even ended with a ladybug landing on Kendahl aaaand I’m pretty sure that’s good luck! I absolutely cannot wait for their wedding next June at The Farm at Glenwood Mountain. I know it will be the best day ever celebrating, surrounded by their friends and family!
