Heather and Joey's engagement session is one of the most unique I've had yet. These two drove up from Jersey and trusted me through a hike in Smuggler's Notch to take some amazing woodsy mountain photos. After a somewhat strenuous hike, these two were photo ready. Even when we got to the top and realized a thick layer of fog was going to be hanging over the gorgeous pond we were hoping to shoot at....the entire session. But Heather and Joey were so incredible at rolling with the punches, and it gave them some of the most unique photos!

Thankfully, one of Heather and Joey's favorite things to do together is hiking! So this was so perfect for them. They also love to ski, mountain bike, and listen to Caamp. It's no wonder we clicked right away! Heather and Joey met through a mutual person in their lives, Chris. After his tragic passing, Heather and Joey navigated this time of grief together. Through this, they healed, bonded, and realized how much they have in common. Heather and Joey found comfort and a connection together and have been inseparable since.

Heather and Joey's proposal story is sweet and genuine, and so true to the type of relationship they've formed. They took the first ski trip to Okemo in January and stayed at a sweet bed and breakfast called the Rowell Inn. They skied the whole first day and decided to stay in and have dinner at the bed and breakfast. Their relaxing evening continued when they decided to take a beer up to their room and play some cards. Joey suggested going out to the balcony as it began to snow. As Heather was watching the snow fall, Joey began talking about how much he loved her. Before Heather could fully understand what was happening Joey got down on one knee and asked her to marry him. After lots of happy tears, she of course said yes!

It was so special to be part of Heather and Joey's story and capture the love they've made. After the ups and downs of life in general, and wedding planning, their wedding is less than a month away! They're both most excited to just be saying "I do" to each other. I cannot wait to capture their wedding next month, which I know will be so filled with joy and love.
